Title: Scan Room Supervisor

The Scan Room Supervisor will supervise all aspects of the scan room staff and functions, including personnel, scheduling, initial and on-going training and employee counseling. The Scan Room Supervisor must have a thorough understanding of scanning hardware and associated software. The Scan Room Supervisor must possess an understanding of child support payment processing requirements for Ohio.

Responsibilities :

- Direct daily processing of workflow in assigned unit

- Supervises all aspects of the scan room staff and functions, including personnel, scheduling, initial and on-going training and employee counseling.

- Ensures that all scan room operations are done on a timely and accurate basis, in accordance with contractual obligations, to include scheduling and workflow planning. Reports any disruptions and completes trouble shooting log. Tracks status monitor throughout the day.

- Performs daily tasks on scan room equipment and associated software.

- Monitors and corrects any error.

- Responsible for quality assurance in all functions of the scan room area, including maintenance of productivity and quality standards.

- Responsible for preventive maintenance of the scanning hardware workstations and monitors. Contacts vendors for repair assistance and maintains logs. Maintains inventory control.

- Ensures that there is a communicating and processing status reporting to all the other payment processing supervisors.

- Supervises the balancing functions in the absence of the Balancing Supervisor.

- Develops and maintains and completes written reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis as required.

- Monitors performance of all scan room staff, document performance issues, and implement disciplinary procedures in accordance to policy.

- Conducts staff meetings. Represents department by attending supervisor meetings.

- Observes professional standards of conduct, including professional behavior, attendance and dress code.

- Assist in interviewing and evaluating scan room personnel.

- Performs other functions as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

- One year of experience supervising operations type staff

- Two years' experience working in a scan room / mailroom environment

- Experience troubleshooting hardware/software applications and following escalation procedures?

- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

- Ability to interface at multiple levels of leadership

- Ability to create and establish new ideas in processing

- Knowledge of the use of PCs and related software.

- Knowledge of scanning hardware and related software.

- Ability to work flexible hours and be multi-tasked
